Well, it must be that time. It's time for International Feel on 101.5 UMFM. Or umfm dot com or internationalfeel dot org. Yeah. Definitely find us at international field dot org. It's being redesigned as we speak. We're New changes. Yeah. We're we're looking at the mock ups. We're scrutinizing some design decisions. Yep. And tightening it up, I think, We're we're discussing things with the the web team. Mhmm. Mhmm. The the webmaster is gracing us with his presence. He's he's usually a shadowy figure who doesn't come out much, but he's he's in the studio today. Yeah. If you're familiar with, like, the Oz figure in, like, The Wizard of Oz, it's kind of like kinda like that. It's like the web team. It's just a giant emerald green head. Yeah. Yeah. Behind, like, a velvety curtain. Lots of velvet. The web team loves their velvet. Well, don't we all? But it looks like they've got a big velvet budget. So, yeah. Thanks for joining us. It is lovely Wednesday. We're doing it live. We always do it live, but tonight we're doing it extra live. Yeah. Yeah. We've we've gotten into the energy drinks. Oh, yeah. We're we're we're plugging away. We got a bit of a project on the go. Yeah. And that's that's what the energy drinks we're we're Yeah. Yeah. Really engaged into this. A bit of an intro. Yeah. Yeah. The energy drinks are getting us hyped up for we've got a a goal in mind. We've been working on a a radio powered supercar, and we're we're looking to break the radio land speed record tonight. Yeah. We're gonna push it to the limit. We've got our team of engineers and Yeah. We've got our pit crew. We've got, yeah, all the the the scientists who have developed the the technology to we're using. Yeah. We've taken it out of the wind tunnel. Yeah. Oh, yeah. We're doing a lot of wind tunneling. Wind tunnel testing. So, yeah. Now we're we're out in the, the salt flats tonight. Yeah. The salt flats of Manitoba. Yeah. So, there's just nothing but, flat, desert, land as far as the eye can see, so it's perfect to test out our our radio powered Super Karts tonight. And we're confident, so we're doing it at night. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Most insane people would do it during the day. We were advised to do it during the day, but It's a lot cheaper to rent a salt flat at night, though. So Yeah. Yeah. So Hamptide. We just thought it was more fun this way. So, yeah, we're we're gonna be testing out our the International Feel radio powered Super Car tonight in the Salt Flats. Yeah. I don't know. Like, we could And if you wanna be a part of history, give us a call on the speed line, 2 0 4 2 6 9 8 6 3 6. Tell us if you have any ideas on how to make this thing go faster. Yeah. Yeah. We're Oh, yeah. It sounded pretty good tonight. It might be running a little little rich. Oh, yeah. I have to choke the throttle. Mhmm. Or something. So what is the, the current radio land speed record? I know it's, it was set in 19 82 by Casey Kaysom. But I'm not I'm I'm hazy on the the the speed, the top speed. Yeah. I'm not, exactly certain myself. We have the team of fact checkers and We'll have to go archivists looking into it to to make sure we can What were we what were we topping out on our when we were testing in in the lab? It was 1200 furlongs per Per nautical mile. Yeah. Yeah. Per swatch Internet minute or Internet beat. I feel what they I feel what they called that unit of times. Yeah. It was a beat. Something like that. Well Just watch the Internet time. Sure. Okay. I that's a new 1 for me. Yeah. It didn't last long. No. People don't use it. No. It didn't didn't catch on. That's too bad. Well, there's still time. It can catch on. Yeah. Thanks for joining us. This is the the land speed record beating episode. You you fact checking something there? Yeah. I'm looking up the the beat beat. Oh, the beat. Yeah. That's what it was called. It was Swatch Internet Time or called BeatTime. BeatTime. Yeah. Decimal sis decimal time system introduced in 19 98 by the Swatch Corporation. So It's part of a marketing campaign for their line of beat watches. Oh, okay. So a unit of time, that was a promotional campaign. Yeah. That's thinking outside the box. Good for Swatch. Yeah. Good for them. Yeah. Can we maybe get sponsored by Swatch? We I think we are. We are? Oh, okay. Yeah. Should slap a sticker on our supercar. Yeah. They're they're they're just not on they're on the other side. They're just not visible on other side. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. 1 side's really stickered up. I just saw the the big the Wonder Bread logo and the Yeah. The Wonder Well, I mean, the whole the thing with the Wonder Bread contract is the car still has to kind of maintain the shape of a loaf of bread. Yeah. It it's gotta represent the the Wonder Bread product. Yeah. Yet still compete for the landscape director. It's it's pretty aerodynamic. We've been working with the science our science team to to further, shape shape the the crust, making it more aerodynamic. We're working with it, with our constraints. Yeah. We're we're hoping that we can create less disturbance with the crust. Well, wish us luck. We're gonna be here for the next 0.5 hour, racing our car against clock, and hopefully, we can break that current land speed record of 1200 for longs per nautical beeps, whatever that was. Yeah. I think I think that was the archivist is pulling up the the official record. The official record. Okay. Yeah. We'll we'll have to we'll we'll get back to you with the the technical details, but believe us when we're we we say we're out here in the salt flats. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. See, that's looking That sounds pretty good. That's a that's a good time. Yeah. They're getting some serious laps in now. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Pit pit crew agrees. Yeah. Okay. Well, yeah. Should we play some more music while we, test out this supercar? Yeah. While we, while we hone it all in. Yeah. Alright. Well, International Feel. We're here for another 0.5 hour. They're getting dangerously close. Yeah. We should probably get off the track. Yeah. International Feel. Welcome back. International Feel on UMFM 1 0 1.5 here in Winnipeg. Yeah. We're we're live from the Salt Flats tonight, testing out, our new, our new super aerodynamic supercar. Yeah. We we reworked some of the body and it Yeah. Our our sponsors are if you haven't if you're just tuning in, the sponsors are making us kind of that they're they're dictating how we shape the car. They've got some yeah. They've got some ideas as to how the the the car should be shaped, and so that kinda dictates the top speed that we're able to achieve, but we're working with it. Yeah. It's still it's still a record record setting speed, so we're not too concerned with the with the shape they're kind of promoting. Yeah. Yeah, it is it is wonder bread sponsor just if you if you are tuning in. Yeah. Just to make sure, yeah, you know that the car is It's It's not loaf in shape. It's not like the the North American wonder. It's like it's wunder bread. It's like Bavarian. Yeah. Very different shape. It's a it's a Bavarian bread company. Wunder. Wunderloaf. Wunderloafen. It translates roughly to Wonder Bread. So Yeah. We're we're just simplifying it by calling it Wonder Bread. But Yeah. Yeah. They have they have ideas, so we have to drive this loaf shaped car. And it it's actually allowed us to hit a higher top speed. So it's it's sound advice. Yeah. From the bread bread people. The bread people and the car people. The car people agree. Yeah. They So They're very results driven kinda group, the the engineers and stuff like that. So they see they see the higher speed Yeah. From the bread shape and they're on board. I and I feel like we could probably get in the car soon because like we've been we have a kind of test drivers kinda working with the kinks, but when it's safe and we're able to top out at a good speed, we're gonna hop in and and and claim the record for ourselves because it's our show. Yeah. And, it's this category is it's kind of a bust category too, so it's got room for for a whole lot of people. Yeah. So if you wanna join us, make your way down here. The Salt Flats, we've got about 8 minutes left before we before the time trials are over. Yeah. Please RSVP on the the Salt Flat line. The Salt Flat line, 2 0 4 2 6 9 8 6 3 6. 0. Yeah. These are getting close and and fast, wicked fast. Wicked fast. So, yeah, I think I think we're gonna be able to beat the, the current, land speed record, again, that was currently held by Casey Casey. Back in the eighties. Back in the eighties. Yeah. Yeah. He's he's the current radio land speed record holder. But we're coming for you, Casey. Yeah. We've got, we've got the we're coming for the hardware. Yeah. I I think we can take it. I I think we got it. I think we got it. Got it in the bag. We've got a good team. The scientists, we're we're developing this this body shape and We got the dough behind it to make it move. We've got the dough. Yeah. If you wanna be a, like, a last minute sponsor, we're we're willing to slap a sticker on our car if you wanna give us a call or give us a drop us a line at international field dot org. Sponsor our crazy car. We're always looking for new sponsors. Always on the look. Always on the look. Yeah. So this has been another high risk, high reward episodes, I would say. Yeah. We put in some good good work on this this car. It's it's I think it's ready. If you can call it a car. It's It's a oh. It's scientific marvel. Yeah. It's really what it is. It's it's a mix between a car, a rocket, the Oscar Mayer Uni movie. Fresh. Yeah. Baked at 350 degrees. It's it looks good enough to eat. Yeah. Expertly risen. Yeah. Well, yeah, there's it's almost the time for us to Yeah. Pack up these salt flats. Yeah. Yeah. We gotta get on out of here. It's getting pretty dusty out in the desert. So, yeah, we'll be back next week. I feel like showing off now. Yeah. Well, we've got all the other cars. It's kind of a race. Hot dogging it in the red car. Exactly. That's what you gotta do, right, when you're in a driving a a loaf of bread car. You gotta hot dog it. Yeah. Well, it's the International Feel way. Yep. There's no other way. Nope. It's been a fun 1. Thanks for joining us. If we haven't said it before, I'm gonna say it again. Check out international feel dot org. It's freshly redesigned. New new coat of paint on it. Yeah. No. New new coat of paint. It's it's worth your time. Check it out. We'll be back next week from on Wednesday from 9 to 10, 1 1.5 UMFM. Any other housekeeping you wanna do? Got some laundry to fold around here, but outside that, no. Shows speak and span. Alright. Alright. Well, I guess we should drive on out of here in Salt Flats, and we'll see you next week. We got we got some time. Hopefully. We got to We got this 1 on deck, Super Glider. Oh, right. Kind of the super car the super theme. Yeah. This is super car super theme. Yeah. Alright. That works.
